Grades: 12th - Adult. Level 1-3. Learn the basic movements of the Korean martial art of Tang Soo Do: punches, kicks, blocks, and stances, while improving balance, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, and strength, in a safe, fun, and encouraging environment. Learn to easily defend against wrist grabs and other basic self-defense methods. Adults of all ages are welcome. Class will be taught concurrently with intermediate adult students but with its own instructor, so some activities such as warmup will be taught together while some activities will be taught separately. If you’ve always wanted to try martial arts this is the perfect way to start. Participants should be prepared to remove their shoes or have indoor shoes only for use on the mats. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. Class will be held at PKSA Ann Arbor North (5692 Plymouth Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105). Instructor: PKSA Staff. 8 classes.
