CAMP ART ACADEMY Week #6, Ages 5-8 | Color + Unity

Painting is the oldest artform and has long supported self-discovery, communication, and artistic expression. Students will depict the world around them and convey their emotions through practicing observation skills, reflection, and conceptualization. Students will study the importance of color and unity while training in styles from realism to abstract expressionism. Projects will require students to practice both traditional and experimental painting techniques at the same time as drawing from the work of artists around the world such as Mark Rothko, Kehinde Wiley, Claude Monet, and AAC alumni Sydney Butchkess and Mary Spencer Nay.Read our protocols here.
