Description

Stepping is a percussive dance form in which the participant's entire body is used as an instrument to produce complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word, and hand claps. With a rich history in African American music, step requires style, precision, discipline, strength, creativity, and coordination. The participants will learn choreography and will eventually be eligible to audition to participate in a competition/ performance step team. This workshop is intended for youth between the ages of 12 and 17.

All persons 12+ entering BlackRock's facility must show proof of vaccination and wear a mask. All patrons under the age of 12 must wear a mask to enter the facility. We thank you for your efforts to keep our community and families safe.
