Description

Interested in doing your part toward environmental sustainability? Do you have a vegetable garden, orchard, or do you enjoy planting? Raising your own honey bees can increase your yield 10-fold. These fascinating creatures will offer an opportunity to enjoy your existing floral habitat. In this five-week classroom course, learn the principles of beekeeping; honey bee biology; honey bee safety; how to read a hive; honey bee nutrition; and honey bee communication. There is a learning curve, however, in becoming a responsible beekeeper. Join Tiffany Ayres, Cornell Master Beekeeper, to gain the knowledge needed to become a successful “newbee” beekeeper.

For more information, see SayBees Apiary on Facebook or contact saybees.apiary@gmail.com. Now is the time to start a new adventure into the hive.
