Description

Prepare to get your hands dirty is we explore the plants in and around the gardens of Rockwood Nature Center. Learn about the benefits of planting native plants, where and when to get them, and which plants are right for you. Assist our environmental educators in pruning and documenting the native plants around the center and in the park. Long pants and gardening gloves recommended.

Program Information:
-Program is held outdoors.
-Limited field tools are available to borrow, bringing personal field tools is recommended.
-Hiking footwear is recommended.
-Outdoor surfaces traveled on in this program include: uneven surfaces and steep hills.
-This program includes visual and tactile elements.
