2023 Winter Coed Youth Flag Football - 4yrs

Welcome to Winter Coed Youth Flag Football COED 4 yrs. old (5v5).

Maricopa Team Sports has offered recreation youth flag football for over 10 years and is proud to create a safe, fair, and fun environment. During this season your player will learn teamwork, sportsmanship, skills development, and most of all have fun meeting other players the same age.

We have partnered with NFL Flag for the season. You can find information and rules about the league at nflflag.com.

Regular Registration October 13th - November 13th ($70 Resident & $90 Non-Resident)

Late Registration November 14th - November 27th ($95 Resident & $115 Non-Resident)

Days & Times: See options in “Custom Questions” upon enrollment.

Team Rosters: Once teams have all available coaches assigned.

Coaches: Assigned randomly based on availability.

Coach Requests: The only requests allowed are for a Volunteer Head Coach to request a Volunteer Assistant Coach. Each Coach will be able to request their child. Assistant Coach requests must be in by December 24, 2022.

First Practice: Week of January 9th, 2023.

Uniforms: Jersey only will be provided. Matching accessories and cool swag located at www.nflflag.com/gear if you're interested.

Uniform Hand-out: On or before your first game day.

First Game Day: Saturday, January 21st, 2023

Picture Day: Saturday, February 4th, 2023

Ball Size: Mini Size

Field Size: 64 yards (L) x 25 yards (W), includes 7-yard endzones.

Players:

• A maximum of 10 players per roster.

• There are 5 players on the field at a time.

• Playing Time: Our goal is to allow all players equal playing time each game.

Officials:

• 2 officials per game, if available.

Duration of the Game:

• The game shall be divided into two (2) sixteen (16) minute halves.

• There shall be a half-time break of two (2) minutes.

• Please be respectful and show up early to start the games on time. Games will have to end on time to accommodate the next team on that field.

Equipment Guidelines:

• All players must wear official NFL FLAG belts and flags (provided).

• All players MUST wear mouth guards at all times while on the field.

• Cleats with exposed metal are never allowed and must be removed.

• Eyeglasses are required to be secure.

• No jewelry or metal hair accessories may be worn during gameplay. Taping jewelry is not allowed.

• No player will be permitted to wear anything in a game that could cause or aggravate the injury to either that player or any other player.

• Orthopedic casts are not permitted.

Concussion Protocol:

• Parent/Guardian will be called onsite for any suspected head injury immediately.

• If a player is suspected to have a head injury the referees (Coaches) are instructed to stop play to allow for treatment/evaluation as needed.

• If the player leaves the field of play for additional evaluation, a substitution can be made at that moment.

• The player with the suspected head injury may not return to the game unless they receive written permission from their Health Care Professional (HCP).

• Any coach or parent insisting on returning the player to the game without approved clearance will result in the referee, coach, or staff asking the parent and player to leave the game area.

Refund Policy: Refunds will be issued up until January 1st.
