Description
Join us for an introduction to the guzheng, a traditional Chinese zither, in this beginner-friendly course. With no prior musical background required, you’ll learn the basics of guzheng setup, tuning, and sheet music notation. Practice seven essential playing techniques, learn the written and spoken form of 15 Chinese music terms, and play 4 beginner level guzheng songs!
Each class is structured to include a balance of hands-on practice, Chinese music appreciation, and cultural activities.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to perform four beginner-level songs with confidence, leaving with a solid foundation and understanding of this ancient instrument.
Activity Session Details: All instruments and accessories are provided. The class is taught in English. Suitable for beginners.
