Description

Boy Scouts interested in earning the Fishing Merit Badge should attend this program to learn fishing safety, first aid, common fishing equipment, knot tying, fish identification, sportsmanship, ethical angling, and how to catch fish. The instructors will cover most requirements and scouts who come with prerequisite material will earn the badge.

Notes
The Herrick Lake main entrance is on the south side of Butterfield Road 0.2 mile east of Herrick Road. Meet at the East Shelter.

The instructors will cover most requirements, and scouts who come with completed prerequisite material, will earn the entire badge.


Prerequisites:
The following requirements must be completed and turned in on the day of the program. Complete requirement: 10 Scouts should take a picture to prove that this was done prior to the class. Scout should email picture (following YPT guidelines) to chartnett@dupageforest.org.
