For Scouts: Kayaking Merit Badge

Description
During this two day course, scouts can earn the kayaking merit badge and kayaking Scouts BSA award. Scouts will learn about boating safety, the parts of a kayak and how to properly paddle their own kayak.
The BSA Swimmer test must be completed before the class. All scouts participating in the program must submit proof of [BSA Swimmer test] completion at least one week prior to program.

Please bring along your Merit Badge Blue Card and Swim Test Record. Be sure to wear clothes and shoes that can get wet. Kayaks (300-pound capacity), paddles and personal floatation devices are provided. Bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, a towel, extra clothes and shoes.
