Description

In grounded yoga for pre-teens (9 - 12 years of age) we will explore breathing exercises, engage in breath-synchronized movement, and learn relaxation techniques in a creative and joyful way. The four-week program is crafted to meet this group’s unique needs, offering pre-teens tools they can practice to reduce anxiety, build self-esteem, connect with their bodies, minds, hearts, and navigate change. These are more than physical exercises, the goal of these yoga classes is to become tools for growth and well-being, enhancing focus and concentration, improving coordination, supporting emotional communication, building social skills, and reducing anxiety. Yoga classes are secular and welcoming, regardless of religious background, personal experience, or physical ability.

*Please wear comfortable clothing that you can freely move in and bring a mat. Being barefoot is encouraged, but you can also wear sticky socks (avoid socks without sticky elements to prevent falling). If a student has special needs or concerns, please contact us before classes start and/or approach the teacher at the beginning of the first class.
