Howard County Lacrosse Boys U11

This age group is focused on developing a technically sound set of lacrosse skills and athletic movements necessary in lacrosse. Additional team concepts and a sense of competition are introduced. Prior participation in a skills clinic or instructional league is helpful but not required. Program objectives are to teach the game of lacrosse, develop physical fitness and coordination, foster teamwork, and encourage and reinforce good sportsmanship. Teams will practice twice a week beginning in mid-March/early April. Games are played on Saturdays and additional Thursday night game will replace a practice later in the season. Player skills evaluations take place in March, and teams are balanced based on evaluation ratings and geographic area. Games are played on a full-size turf field and players are generally guaranteed to play one-half of each game. Players must provide lacrosse stick, helmet, shoulder pads, elbow/arm pads, gloves, mouth guard and proper footwear. Equipment rentals are available for this age group. Volunteer coaches are paramount to the success of the program. Coaches will be provided training, knowledge and practice planning in order to set them on the path to success. HC LAX REFUND POLICY: A 25% administrative fee will be applied to refund requests made by Jan 16th. Refund requests between Jan 17 and Mar 1 will be honored at 50%. There are no refunds after Mar 1.
