Come celebrate your favorite furry animals!
Create sculptural porcelain animal bells in this two-day, hand-building workshop. Use this opportunity to create a bell that honors your favorite animals or family pets!
Class 1: Begin your mini masterpieces! I will share my technique for pinching porcelain bells in the shape of animals or anything else you are interested in. Particular attention will be paid to design, texture, thickness and shape. Bring lots of pictures of your furry friends.
Time will allow for the creation of 1 to 2 bells. You may also choose to throw the bell shape on the wheel if you have previous throwing experience.
Class 2: Decorate your bisque fired bells. Learn my process for applying underglaze, glaze and wax to activate and protect the surface. Your finished bells will need a clapper to help them ring. I will discuss and demonstrate this process and students will have access to a video for future reference.
Clay, glazes, clappers and wire are provided for this workshop.

A written notice of 7 days must be given before the start of the first class if you wish to cancel. Registration changes and cancellations will incur an administrative fee of $30.
We reserve the right to cancel a class for lack of participants. Cancellation of classes due to insufficient enrollment will be made one (1) business day before the first class. We reserve the right to substitute an instructor if necessary.
