Description

This class teaching the basic levels of yoga. Yoga is a gift you can give your body at any time, any age, any size. Practicing Yoga will strengthen and balance all parts of your body including the spine and joints, the heart, blood stream, and internal organs. Students will learn breathing patterns that remove stiffness and tension, and exercises that develop vitality and strength. Beginning movements consist of bends, twists, and stretches while standing, lying down or sitting; postures to increase body awareness and control for better balance; as well as deep breathing and relaxation techniques. Authentic yoga moves slowly to keep correct postures and build strength. Classes start with slow, gentle movements and gradually extend them to develop more strength and flexibility. The session concludes with progressive muscular relaxation to leave you with a deep sense of calm and wellbeing.
