Description

Have you ever spotted a plant or animal and wondered what it is, if it’s native or beneficial to have around? There’s a free app for that! iNaturalist is a community-built database that helps you identify plants and animals using your phone’s camera. During the City Nature Challenge, people like you strengthen the database by using the app to identify things living in your area. Our trained naturalist will lead a slow, meandering stroll along the path at Stevens Creek Nature Preserve while you practice using the app. It’s community science in action, right in your backyard!
