RCNP: City Nature Challenge - Moth Night at Reedy Creek

The woods are a fascinating place to be after dark. We are going to lure moths in with light and scent so we can get a closer look and add each species to the City Nature Challenge for Team Charlotte! The City Nature Challenge is a competition amongst cities all around the world to identify as many plant and animal species as we can over 5 days. You can be a part of the action even if you don't know the names of any of the critters or plants that you see. All you have to do is to take a picture and upload it to iNaturalist. We will even show you how to do it! Come be a part of the team representing Charlotte, NC! Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
