Freedom Classic 5K Run/Walk

Freedom Classic 5K (All Ages) "Do it for the Donut"

Dress in your red, white and blue and jump start your 4th in our 44th Freedom Classic 5K. Blast off from Dunbar Recreation Center to Midlothian and travel through scenic Loch Lomond and the Keith Mione Community Park in this professionally chip timed course. Post race, participants can cool off in sprinklers, grab a patriotic donut and refreshments to fuel up for the rest of your 4th of July engagements. Runners and walkers can register online at mundeleinparks.org. The first 350 participants registered will receive a race t-shirt. USATF Certified Course. Questions? $100 cash award for 1st overall male and female finishers, as well as medals for 1st-3rd place finishers in each age group.

Free FIRECRACKER 1/2 mile Kids Race (Ages 8 & Under) will begin at approximately 9 am. Race to the finish for firecracker freeze pop and medal. No registration required.

Race Day: Registration will be available at the Front Desk of Dunbar Recreation Center, 888 Dunbar Road.

Time: 6:30-7:45 am

Packet Pickup: Held at the Mundelein Park & Recreation District 1401 N Midlothian Rd. Date: July 1 from 7am-5pm, July 2 from 7am-5pm, and July 3 from 5am-noon at the Customer Service Desk in the Mundelein Community Center

Race Day Packet Pickup and Registration will be at Dunbar Recreation Center, 888 Dunbar Road 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM
