Pumpkin Decorating Contest at Vine Street Market

The contest will be held on October 21 at the Vine Street Market between 8:30am and 11:15am. This year there will be two categories, age 0-17 and age 18+. The top three in each category will receive a prize package totaling $300 per category. Winning pumpkins will be selected through popular vote by market visitors that day. So grab your friends and family and tell them to come vote for your pumpkin!

Youth Division Prizes: *Winner chooses first, followed by second then third.

Family Membership to the St. Louis Zoo

Family Membership to St. Louis Science Center

Adult Division Prizes:

1st $150 to Le Ono Restaraunt

2nd $100 to Boarding House Bistro

3rd $50 to Peel Brewing Co.

Registration is required and a pumpkin is included with each registration. Registration deadline is Monday, October 9th. Pickup your provided pumpkin on October 14th at the Vine Street Market between 8 and Noon OR October 16-20 at the Katy Cavins Community Center between 8:30am and 5:00pm.

Contest Rules:

-You must use the provided pumpkin so all pumpkins are relatively the same size.

-Decorate however you wish but the pumpkin must be free standing.

-Keep in mind the contest is during the day, so carvings might be harder to see.

-We do not provide electricity for any pumpkin designs. Lights are permitted but must operate on their own battery power or otherwise.

-Keep your designs PG and family friendly.

-Decorated pumpkins must be dropped off by 8:30am at the Vine Street Market on October 21.

-Pumpkins are yours to take home. Pick them up no later than 12:30pm on October 21. If not picked up they will be composted.
