Description

Day hiking is an ideal way to increase fitness while enjoying the natural beauty and history of the city and nearby. Panoramic views of the city and Cascade Range, forested corridors, local rivers, native plants and birds all combine for surprising rewards. Metro Mover hikes are two hours long and hikers provide their own transportation to the trailhead. See receipt notes for hike description and directions.

There is no skill level assessment required to participate in this program, but you must be able to walk a 25-minute mile without shortness of breath. Sturdy footwear required.

This is an in-person program. *This walk is designated as a qualifier for the Level 2 Hike for Health and Snowshoeing programs. Please notify your hike leader before the hike if you would like to qualify.

Panoramic views of the city & Cascade Range, forested corridors, local rivers, native plants & birds all combine for surprising rewards. Paths are gravel and forest floor. The climb to the summit involves a 370-foot elevation gain. Restrooms available.
