The 2016 World Championships Scholarship Fund was endowed in 2018 with $1 million in proceeds from The Skating Club of Boston hosting the 2016 ISU World Figure Skating Championships at TD Garden. The fund was begun with the intention of supporting skaters who actively compete in U.S. Figure Skating qualifying competitions, and who represent the Club.

Donations will support The Skating Club of Boston's mission,which is to be a leader in promoting participation, education, and excellence in skating for individuals of all ages, abilities, and means.

The Richard T. Button Trophy Room will honor, celebrate and perpetuate Dick Button’s legacy, a career that exemplifies the personal strengths and qualities that are fundamental to almost every champion and lead to longstanding success: passion, discipline, integrity, and joy in the process.

The Tenley E. Albright Performance Center, the Club’s 2,500 seat arena, hosts traditional Club events like Boston Open in addition to other local, national, and international events. The Performance Center is a destination for competitions, benefits, and other special events for every discipline of figure skating.

The Tenley E. Albright Performance Center celebrates the character of an extraordinary athlete and scholar who had a bond with The Skating Club of Boston since her first strokes on Club ice as an eight-year-old. Tenley’s love of responding to music through creative movement, her perseverance, her courage, and her deep passion for skating are the hallmarks of what the Club believes is important for its athletes of today and tomorrow.

Theatre On Ice of Boston seeks to develop nationally competitive TOI teams by training teams of skaters who will challenge themselves to acquire new skills, experience the thrill of competition, and enjoy the friendships developed through education to a team effort. TOI of Boston’s success depends on the cooperation from its families. The commitment of the skater (as well as the commitment of our skaters’ families) to work for the success of the team rather than for individual acclaim and recognition is what makes TOI of Boston a unique skating discipline.

Make a contribution to the Club to recognize, honor, or celebrate an individual. A tribute gift is a personal way to recognize an individual by dedicating a gift to the Club in their name.

The Skating Club of Boston Youth in Sport initiative provides support for city youth and local skaters learning, appreciating, and excelling in the sport of figure skating. The Youth in Sport initiative specifically provides underwriting for The Skating Club of Boston’s Skating After School program as well as initiatives for skaters from The Skating Club of Boston who train in Norwood, and who represent the Club at regional, national, and international competitions.
