Under the California Public Records Act, the City has an obligation to protect personal contact information. Court decisions have ruled that individuals have a substantial privacy interest in personal contact information. Personal contact information expressly protects from disclosure names, addresses, telephone numbers, and any financial information. There are some exceptions for specific types of records. ALL customer information is confidential and cannot be disclosed by Active Network. If there is a reason to disclose any customer information, then Active Network should discuss that situation with the City, in advance of disclosure.
